Speaking at our Reality Student Apologetics Conference, Jason Jimenez explains that the Bible is not a human invention but God’s special revelation. Christians trust the Bible because it carries a “divine brand,” revealing God’s acts in history and inviting people into his overarching redemptive story. Our 2025–2026 conference season invites you to participate in and come to a deeper understanding of “The Story of Reality.” Join us at our California event April 24–25, 2026.

[The Bible] we believe, as followers of Jesus Christ, is unique. There’s nothing like it. It has, in fact, a divine brand because we believe that God has directly communicated with his creation through this. This is known as special revelation.
So, for example, when you and I look around in the world, there are all kinds of different brands that many Americans find valuable—that they rely on, that they trust. Like, I trust, obviously, MacBook Pros. Right? So much, to where I’m willing to make the investment in it, which we need to convince Jim Wallace to buy a MacBook Pro. Amen? Sorry, Jim. I just had to go there. We love that guy.
So, I want to put you guys to the test. I want to see what type of brands you think are valuable or better than other brands. You guys ready for this? Who’s ready? Because I know you guys have brands that you go to.
Let’s start with the first. Coca-Cola or Pepsi? Raise your hand and shout out if you think Coca-Cola’s better. Raise your hand or shout out if you think Pepsi’s better.
Whoa. I think the clear winner there in this room is Coca-Cola, right? That’s right.
All right. How about this? McDonald’s or Chick-fil-A? Raise your hand if it’s McDonald’s, and shout it out. Notice how sick they sound. Right? Raise your hand if it’s Chick-fil-A.
So, basically what you guys are saying—you’ve got to have this picture in your mind—you want to have a Chick-fil-A with a Coca-Cola. Amen? And the Bible. Okay? All right. So, clearly I think Chick-fil-A is the winner. And please get off McDonald’s.
How about this one? PlayStation or Xbox? PlayStation. Raise your hand. Shout it out. PlayStation. How about Xbox? Wow, man. Dallas, you guys are, like, clear winners. In other cities, every debate, I’m like, it’s not that hard. Okay. I don’t want to offend anybody. You guys are just, like, you tell it like it is. We love that about Texans. Right?
But here’s the thing. If you grew up in the ‘80s like me, the clear winner is…. Amen? Some kid’s like, “What is that?” Who’s ever played the Nintendo here? Anybody? They got the best soundtrack music, too. I got some of them on my downloads.
All right. So, look. When you see those different brands, when you’re looking around, I want you to understand that the Bible has a divine brand. This is not human invention. This has a divine revelation that’s been given by God to us personally. So, when you hold this, when you’re about to open it, we believe that God is not just transcendent; he’s imminent—that he relates to us, that we’re made in his image, and he wants to communicate with us.
You got voices on TikTok, you got voices on YouTube, whatever platform that you watch and look at, that are telling you that the Bible is myth. You can’t trust it. We’re seeing, left and right, these deconstructed people that are deconverting from the faith because they’re saying that there’s just nothing but discrepancies and errors and issues here.
This past week on Christian Post, I do my weekly articles, and I responded to Alex O’Connor’s issues that he has with the Bible. And I got to say, I love his heart, and I pray for him that he would know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. He’s around a lot of godly people that are rubbing off on him to some degree. But one of the biggest issues for Alex is he doesn’t find this to be trustworthy. We as Christians believe that the Bible is made up of 66 books—that God has recorded his acts to men and to women in the history of time. The Book of all books. It’s the Word of all words. It is the Truth of all truths. Amen? Its universal truth binds us all in this room to a larger, beautiful narrative, making us part of God’s divine plan that even transcends time and culture—meaning empires, kingdoms, governments, executive orders, wars cannot disrupt God’s Word. The Bible, my friends, I submit to you this morning, is ultimate reality.
