Seeing the Unseen: The Nature of Spiritual Warfare

When it comes to spiritual warfare, the New Testament emphasis is not on prayer-infused power encounters, but on something completely different, and if we miss that, then I think we miss the heart of it.

A Reformation the Church Doesn't Need Part 2

Since the birth of the church, no Christian authority—no theologian, no church council, no denominational confession, no seminary—ever hinted that homosexual behavior was morally legitimate.  Now congregations across the country are becoming “gay friendly” at an alarming rate, convinced that for two millennia we’ve all simply misunderstood our Bibles.

A Reformation the Church Doesn't Need Part 1

A New Reformation is a reformation we do not need.  These people are organized, serious, and single-minded—and you need to be ready for them, because and they are coming to your church.

The Christ of "The Passion": What the Movie Couldn’t Show

Jesus was not a victim.  No one took His life from Him.  Not Jews.  Not Romans.  He gave it willingly and purposefully.  It was the reason He was born.       “The Passion of the Christ” is an historically precise, visually stunning, and viscerally moving portrayal of the crucifixion of Jesus.  Yet the most important detail of Jesus’ final hours is not in the film.

Paul, Romans, and Homosexuality

The first chapter of Paul’s letter to the Romans contains what most readers consider the Bible’s clearest condemnation of same-sex relations.  Recent scholarship reads the same verses and finds just the opposite.  Who is right?
