Hi there. Just wanted to take a moment and offer some thoughts and maybe an encouragement while you’re sequestered at home like I am right now here in my office. I want you to understand that we at Stand to Reason are really with you. We are going through what you’re going through. We are challenged in the way that you’re challenged on a professional basis and also on an individual basis, and that’s okay. We’re in this together. We’re on your side. We’re not only with you, but we are praying for you. We are concerned about how everybody in our larger community is doing.

We’re working hard also to keep things rolling at STR so we can be available to you when you need us the most like times like now. So, things have been awkward, they’ve been hard, they’ve been challenging. We can only have one person in the office at a time, but we have a great team. We have good leadership, and I’m not talking about me, I’m talking about the whole, the executive staff that are making things really happen at the office. And we will continue our radio broadcast. I’ll be doing it from home. We’ll be continuing #STRask, we’ll be continuing fulfilling orders, we’re going to continue doing everything. And this brings me to a point that has been a big encouragement for me as I think about times like this, and it might be an encouragement for you.

Proverbs says that “the hand of the diligent shall rule.” The hand of the diligent shall rule. In other words, if you’re shut down in some areas of your life, do not become a couch potato. Make the best use of this time that you possibly can. And I guarantee you there’s lots of things that you can do that are productive with your family, or in your home, or in your business, or whatever opportunities you have to keep moving forward. That’s one of the best pieces of advice that I can give you. It’s what I’m doing here. It’s what our team is doing as well. We’ve got our hands to the plow. We’re going to continue to do what we can do. We’re staying active, and we’re doing our job.

I want to offer one other thought too. A passage from Scripture that you’re quite familiar with, I’m sure. But it’s one that I reflect on frequently when I go through times like this, and I do go through times like this just like everybody else. And I wake up in the middle of the night, and I’m concerned, and this is what I recite to myself: “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul; he guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for you are with me; Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table for me in the midst of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” And I might add, so will you. Greg Koukl for Stand to Reason. Keep giving them Heaven.
