End of Life Care Includes Euthanasia in Quebec
Wesley J. Smith reports that Quebec has created a new right – the right to be euthanized with the help of a medical professional. Positive rights such as this law create obligations on others. Along the way, embryonic stem cells—just a decade ago hailed as the future of medicine—have largely been bypassed. Some researchers still use them, but for now, the future belongs to adult stem cells and iPS cells, which are adult cells genetically reprogrammed to express specific genes.
Late-term Abortion
Here's a recording of the counseling a woman received who went in for a late-term abortion - what she was told about the procedure and what to expect. The callousness with which they discuss killing the baby is disturbing. In fact, they repeatedly refer to the baby as "the pregnancy." They also dissemble when the woman asks about the baby experiencing pain, which babies clearly do by 20 weeks.

Not only are these children usually viable outside the womb, they feel pain, and the procedure is more like infanticide than abortion. Greg describes the procedure in question here.
