I’m very excited to share with you a vision for training believers like yourself to persuasively, yet graciously share your Christian convictions with anyone.
Unfortunately, the culture thinks Christians are backward-thinking. Anti-science. Anti-choice. Judgmental. Intolerant. Homophobic. That’s how people often view the Church. Why would they want to be like us?
Though they’re largely mistaken, that perception repels people from the truth of Jesus. To make matters worse, many of us aren’t equipped to respond in a persuasive, yet gracious manner. So we don’t feel confident to engage people in conversation about our convictions.
I train believers to more effectively reach others with the truth of Jesus. My focus is how to clearly articulate our Christian convictions. Because the Christian worldview touches on many practical aspects of life, I also teach how to respond to challenging topics like abortion, evolution, Islam, homosexuality, stem cell research, and cloning in a compelling and winsome manner.
When believers are equipped, they’re more prepared to maneuver in conversation and more confident to share their faith. They know what to say and how to say it so they eliminate barriers to the Gospel.
But the task is not easy and that is why I need your help. I’m looking for people who recognize the importance of this work, who care to make a difference, and who want to partner with me as I seek to train and equip 10,000 people over the next three years.
As an employee of Stand to Reason, I am responsible for raising my own salary. This enables me to work full-time training believers. But I can’t do it alone. I need a special group of people who believe this work is essential and are willing to financially support it on a monthly basis.
